Since its inception in 2001, the Lifestages Midlife Program has been a groundbreaking initiative focusing on the health and well-being of peri- and post-menopausal women – especially heart, bone and breast health. Although women share many experiences as they approach menopause and beyond, each woman travels her own path and has unique health care needs. At Lifestages, we recognize and respect this individuality.
Getting Started During your first visit with the Midlife Program health care team, you will build a personal profile that includes a health history and a thorough physical examination. You will also undergo the appropriate lab tests and screenings. Some of these — such as a Pap smear, blood profile and bone density test — are completed in the Lifestages office. Others, such as a mammogram, are conveniently available at Good Samaritan North Health Center. After reviewing results from your health history exam and tests, we will work with you to develop a plan of action for your midlife health.
